NefteTransService says changes ownership, to give wagons to NTC
MOSCOW, Dec 22 (PRIME) -- The ownership of Russian railway operator NefteTransService has changed, the company will transfer all gondola wagons to national Transportation Company (NTC) of Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK), while a decision on the oil tank wagons would be made later, a spokesperson for the operator told PRIME on Friday.
Earlier in the day, Kommersant business daily reported that NefteTransService was acquired by the companies affiliated with SUEK.
“NefteTransService has changed its ownership. On December 4, 2023, the Federal Antimonopoly Service approved an acquisition of NefteTransService by independent investors. The new owners have decided to change the asset management strategy,” the NefteTransService spokesperson said without disclosing the details of the deal.
“One of the agreements between the new owner and National Transport Company was a sale of the entire stock of gondola wagons that would be transferred to the company in 2024 following conclusion of all the necessary procedures,” the spokesperson said.
The company will continue fulfilling all of its obligations to the clients in accordance with the contracts, and decide on its oil transportation division after a detailed analysis of the business and the market situation, the spokesperson added.
